Here are the questions we are most often asked:
Do I need any previous dance experience?
No dancing experience is needed for beginning classes.
How do I dress for a dance class?
A comfortable skirt with a flair and shoes with a 2-inch heel. Flamenco shoes are best. Rafaela can provide additional guidance on puchasing Flamenco shoes and skirts.
Are classes open to men?
Yes. Classes at Portland State University are open to men. For information regarding other classes or locations, please contact us.
Do students participate in the Flamenco shows?
Yes. Although it depends on each student's abilities, some students have participated in Flamenco shows after only eight months.
